Coaching and Leadership
MIM coaching and leadership roles occur at three levels: local, regional, and state. The local level includes implementation facilitators, Building Leadership Teams, and District Leadership Teams. The regional level consists of the Regional Professional Development Centers (RPDCs). The state level includes the MIM Management Team, the MIM Advisory Group, and the MIM Implementation Team.
Local Level
Implementation Facilitators - The MIM Implementation Facilitators work directly with school and district MIM team as well as their Regional Professional Development Center to provide ongoing support in implementing the Missouri Integrated Model. This document provides their contact information. Building and District Leadership Teams-Building leadership teams steer planning and intervention activities at the ground level in every school. Some of their activities include developing through MIM planning documents and ensuring staff-wide buy-in and involvement with the MIM process. District leadership teams provide guidance for long-term planning related to MIM. Their activities include helping to ensure that district policies mesh with MIM activities and identifying additional schools to target in expanding the MIM process district-wide.
Regional Level
Regional Professional Development Centers (RPDCs) - RPDCs offer professional development and targeted training to schools throughout Missouri. RPDC staff members have provided vital support and training to MIM schools throughout their planning and implementation.
State Level
MIM Management Team - The MIM Management Team oversees all aspects of the Missouri Integrated Model. They meet regularly to discuss implementation challenges and strategies and they continuously evaluate and improve the MIM process and materials. This document provides their contact information. MIM Advisory Group and Implementation Team-Two larger entities provide a mechanism for a larger group of stakeholders to provide input on the MIM process. The MIM Advisory Group The Advisory Group is comprised of representatives of state departments, divisions, agencies, and organizations spanning services for Missouri students ages 3-21. Membership includes representatives of both general and special education initiatives. The Implementation Team is a subset of the Advisory Group with targeted expertise in the components of the model. The role of the Implementation Team is to further refine the integrated model and provide guidance for the development of accompanying materials necessary for training and professional development.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education works with educators, legislators, agencies and citizens through its statewide school-improvement initiatives and regulatory functions to assure that all citizens have access to high-quality public education from early childhood to adult education.
