Meramec Valley R-III
The Meramec Valley R-III School District, in the South Central region, enrolls about 3,500 students at five elementary schools, one middle school (grades 6 and 7), one junior high (grade 8), and one high school.
We believe that everyone can learn and succeed. It is the responsibility of the educational staff to provide young people with the foundation upon which they can build their own futures. Because every learner comes into the classroom at different developmental stages possessing unique learning styles, teachers should strive to change teaching styles and strategies to achieve maximum success.
Each student should be given the right to participate in the development of his/her educational plan and should take advantage of the educational opportunities that are offered. A cooperative effort from students, parents, faculty, staff, administration, and the community is necessary to provide the climate conducive to improving learning and citizenship and, therefore, providing learners with a key to the future - education.

Meramec Valley Middle 2010 Highlight
“Reviewing the Self Study gave us a much clearer picture of how far we have come and what goals we still need to achieve. The team continues to grow professionally and ideas and thoughts are carried over to classroom instruction, not just in the team’s rooms, but in all classrooms at Meramec Valley Middle School. The staff is embracing the change of SW-PBS becoming a major part of our school.”
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education works with educators, legislators, agencies and citizens through its statewide school-improvement initiatives and regulatory functions to assure that all citizens have access to high-quality public education from early childhood to adult education.
